Técnica’s first V/A “Distinctive Functionality” release starts with “WDTAB” Gonzalo Mia brings an obscure, deep yet playful track, perfect to warm up the dance floor, with mesmerizing bleeps and a subtle acid bass-line to complement the groove of the song.

Up next comes “Metalic” — Extracto Molecular delivers a powerful, atmospheric tensional track, unique for an obscure hypnotic peak time, with a destroyer lead synth-line, and a constant bleep that will remain in your head.

Afterwards is “Fragment 1” — Waldymoto comes with an evolving, gloomy minimalistic track, amazing for a mental, yet sexy vibe thanks to its deep and groovy low end, tenebrous synth and atmosphere, but tribal percussion and swingy hats.

Following next comes “Static Motion” — Maxim Bogdanovic proposes a Faster but deep, aggressive track, loopy yet full of details, with characteristic bleeps, profound kick and futuristic hats, that can be beautifully implemented in a moment of grooviness without loosing a serious character in a DJ set.

Then is “Transizione” — Carlo OG Delivers a dirty, shadowy distinctive track, with a strong lo-fi dubby influence, minimal yet story-telling, with a dense, muddy, wobbly synth line, grimy hats and subtle kick, showing the wonderfulness of distortion, perfect for a subtle yet dark beginning of a mix.

With “Latin Cyborg” — Juan Neira gives a different sound in the compilation, with a more energetic, happy feeling thanks to its remarkable, funky synth line, and latin influenced percussion, powerful tool that can be implemented in a moment of relief and cheerfulness in a mix.

Close to the end comes “Loobrican’t” — Nikita T proposes a raw, energetic, dance floor killer track, characteristic for its authentic sound thanks to the fact that all its sounds are completely synthesized from scratch through gear, with a vocal-feeling synth line, constant swingy percussion and dynamic transition between aggressiveness and subtleness, perfect for a high-spirited surprise in a DJ set.

And to finish this compilation, “Niki’s Coat” — our founder Retter delivers a dubby, atmospheric, melancholic track, with an organic feeling thanks to its dynamism, composed mainly with gear, with a minimal yet alive synth line, absorbent pads, and groovy bass-line, this song will bring a sense of hope and joyfulness in the closing of a DJ set.
